The National Mastercraftsmen Award is the highest recognition given by the Malaysian Government through the approval of the Cabinet in 1996. This award is to encourage and inspire skilled craft entrepreneurs to be more creative, innovative and productive in order to defend local crafts while contributing to the country's socio-economic development.
National Mastercraftsmen is a reference expert who has credibility and demonstrates outstanding character, performance and contribution in efforts to preserve, preserve and elevate the country's crafts at the national and international levels.
