Azizah binti Adam mula mempelajari ilmu dalam bidang tekat ketika berusia 19 tahun di bawah bimbingan Hajah Azizah binti Mohamad Yusof yang merupakan Tokoh Kraf Negara (Tekatan Benang Emas). Dilahirkan pada 20 November 1960 di daerah Taiping, Perak. Merupakan penekat diraja kerana sering menghasilkan kelengkapan untuk istana serta menguasai kaedah tradisional tekat benang emas dan tekat gubah. Kehalusan hasil kerja tangannya menyerlah dalam pelbagai olahan motif dan reka corak seperti bunga kekwa, bunga raya, bunga padi dan corak ‘Keluarga Malaysia.

Azizah binti Adam initiated her vocation in the art of embroidery when she turned 19 under the tutelage of Hajah Azizah binti Mohamad Yusof who is the National Master Craftsman (Golden Thread Embroidery). She was born on 20 November 1960 in the district of Taiping, Perak. She is hailed as a royal embroiderer as she consistently produced an array of palace paraphernalia conjured through her mastery of the traditional golden thread embroidery and gubah embroidery. The intricate finishing of her handiwork is expounded through the various motifs and pattern designs featuring the chrysanthemum flowers, hibiscus flowers, paddy and the ‘Keluarga Malaysia’ pattern.
